Biography
Ruth Peiffer is a Principal Air Quality Scientist with BHP, bringing two decades of specialist experience across industry and consulting in air quality management. Ruth has led and delivered a wide range of air quality assessments, with expertise spanning air dispersion modelling, design and evaluation of air quality monitoring programs, dust data analyses, development of dust management strategies, odour investigations, and health risk assessments.
She has extensive experience in National Pollutant Inventory reporting and the development of emissions inventories for mining and energy sector clients. Her background also includes regulatory compliance auditing, preparation of annual environmental reporting, and support for major environmental approval applications. Ruth’s consulting career has covered a broad suite of mining, mineral processing, and energy projects throughout Australia and Asia. Ruth is the current President of the CASANZ Western Australia Branch and is a CASANZ Certified Air Quality Professional, reflecting her ongoing commitment to excellence and leadership in the field of air quality science.
