Pushan Shah is a Principal Air Quality Consultant at Air Environment, with over 15 years of experience across air quality research, regulation, and consulting in Australia. He is a Certified Air Quality Professional and a chemical engineer with a PhD in Environmental Studies, specialising in ambient air quality monitoring, dispersion modelling, and industrial impact assessment. Prior to joining Air Environment in 2024, Pushan held senior technical roles at the South Australian Environment Protection Authority, where he led the assessment and regulation of air emissions from major industries and developments. His work included contributing to South Australia’s Environment Protection (Air Quality) Policy and developing regulatory approaches for particulate matter and respirable crystalline silica. Pushan has extensive experience designing long‑term air quality monitoring programs integrating reference‑grade instrumentation, meteorology, and advanced data analysis. He is the Immediate Past President of the SA/NT Branch of the CASANZ and regularly presents at national and international conferences.
