Biography
Daniel Lynch is a Consultant Scientist working across New Zealand and the wider Oceania region, specialising in environmental air quality monitoring, analysis, and reporting. His expertise includes the design, management, and optimisation of monitoring networks, encompassing both low-cost sensor systems and regulatory-grade instrumentation, with a focus on particulates. He has experience across both ambient and point source monitoring, providing a well-rounded understanding of air quality assessment and associated regulatory and operational challenges. Daniel has led field-based monitoring programmes in complex and variable environments, coordinating teams to deliver high-quality, time-sensitive measurements, and works closely with clients to ensure successful project delivery, including the preparation of technical reports in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and accreditation bodies such as INAB and UKAS. Previously, he worked across Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Europe, achieving six MCERTS accreditations in point source emissions monitoring alongside roles in laboratory analysis and field team leadership.
