EVALUATING THE PERFORMANCE OF LOW-COST SENSORS AGAINST REGULATORY-GRADE EQUIPMENT FOR PARTICULATE MATTER

Biography

Angus is an environmental scientist with four years of experience as an environmental consultant. During his career, he has specialised in designing, reviewed and undertaking large scale environmental monitoring and management programs. Angus has a range of experience in environmental monitoring, having designed and undertaken air quality monitoring programs for Department of Defence, large scale open cut mines, waste management facilities, wastewater treatment plants, agricultural facilities and large infrastructure projects. Of note, Angus has been responsible for the implementation of real-time monitoring solutions, which served as vital early warning system for communities at risk of exposure to dust, VOC’s and heavy metals. He has also designed and undertaken air quality monitoring studies designed to assess risks ecological impacts from copper, lead and dust deposition, as well as impacts of construction dust on animal behaviour. In addition to his work in air quality monitoring, Angus is also experienced in dispersion modelling, emissions estimation and preparing air quality impact assessments and dust management plans across a wide variety of industries, across all states and territories in Australia.
