Katherine Cochrane is a chemical engineer at Water Corporation WA with a strong focus on odour and hazardous gas management. Over the past four years, she has led and supported initiatives that improve the monitoring, assessment, and management of odour and hazardous gas risks across critical infrastructure and operational environments. Her work combines technical expertise, risk-based decision making, and asset management principles to enhance safety, compliance, and operational performance. Katherine is passionate about leveraging data, technology, and cross-functional collaboration to develop practical solutions for complex environmental and operational challenges. Through her experience in risk management and asset systems, she has contributed to initiatives that help organizations protect communities, safeguard workers, and improve the long-term performance of essential assets.

Biography
Robie Mangubat is a Senior Consultant at Aquatec Enviro, with 20 years’ experience supporting water utilities and industry in planning, designing, and delivering water, wastewater, and recycled water assets across Australia and New Zealand. He specialises in wastewater odour control and air treatment, applying a practical, safety-led approach that prioritises maintainability and whole-of-life performance, from feasibility and business case inputs through to detailed design, commissioning support and performance verification. Robie is a client-facing technical lead with a track record in optioneering and value engineering, technical governance, and mentoring developing engineers.
